  • Confirm the correct main ink container is not empty and is seated or connected as specified by the printer maker.
  • Look for kinked tubing, collapsed tubing, loose fittings, visible air gaps, blocked filters, or a closed manual valve.
  • Record whether the pump runs, whether liquid moves, and whether the tank level changes during the approved fill command.
  • Check whether the float or level signal remains in a “full” state while the tank is visibly low.

Why is the sub-ink tank empty even though the main ink container has ink?

A closed or blocked route, air leak, filter restriction, valve or pump problem, cartridge-seating issue, or incorrect level signal may interrupt refill. Record what the pump and liquid level do during the approved fill command.

Can I bypass the float switch to keep printing?
