Product Details
xUVINKPRO UV Melamine Pretreatment Coating is a UV printing pretreatment coating for tested melamine substrates. It is not UV ink and it is not UV varnish. Test adhesion, curing, surface preparation, and ink-system compatibility on the actual substrate before production.
UVINKPRO UV Melamine Coating
UVINKPRO UV Melamine Coating is formulated for melamine–faced boards, MDF and particle-board panels. It flashes off under UVA lamps in seconds, forming an ultra-hard, high-gloss shield that withstands daily wear, heat and household chemicals while keeping colors sharp.
Key Benefits
- Instant UV cure — line speed depends on equipment and settings, no VOC flash-off downtime
- hardness information available on request and outstanding scratch & abrasion resistance
- Stain, solvent & heat resistance (150 °C / 30 min, no discoloration)
- Excellent adhesion to melamine overlays (Cross-cut 0 – 1)
- Non-yellowing; supplier documents can be checked on request where applicable

Recommended Substrates
- Recommended for the target substrate listed in your production process.
- Used to improve adhesion, surface performance, or bonding stability before or after printing depending on the production workflow.
- Always test on the actual substrate and curing setup before full production.
Compatibility Notes
- Confirm the coating process together with your UV ink, printhead configuration, and curing energy before bulk use.
- Check whether the surface requires cleaning, flame treatment, corona treatment, or another pre-treatment process.
- For stable production, confirm application thickness, drying or curing conditions, and final adhesion requirements.
Typical Applications
- Industrial decoration, promotional products, rigid signage, packaging, and specialty surface printing.
- Workflows where buyers need better adhesion and more reliable surface performance on difficult materials.
- Suitable for sampling, small-batch production, and scale-up after adhesion testing is approved.
Surface Preparation Checklist
- Confirm how the target substrate should be cleaned and prepared before coating and printing.
- Run a small adhesion test before production and confirm whether wiping, degreasing, flame treatment, or corona treatment is required.
- Check coating thickness, flash-off or drying time, and UV curing energy before moving from sample work to batch production.
Workflow Notes
- Confirm whether the coating is used as a primer, adhesion promoter, or post-treatment step in your printing workflow.
- Buyers usually validate cross-hatch adhesion, tape test results, scratch resistance, and final appearance on the real substrate first.
- Use this product only after confirming compatibility with your solvent printing process and target material.
Buying Notes
- If the same material is supplied by multiple factories, test each substrate batch because surface energy can vary.
- For export or contract production, lock down the approved process window before ordering larger volumes.
- When in doubt, request a sample workflow or confirm the intended application with your production engineer before purchase.
